Time is Love

This post is about my big brother. You have to know that my big brother is really my BIG brother. He is so into bodybuilding and puts a lot of time into it. He is almost 20 and is already bigger than most 30 year olds that are into bodybuilding. I honestly envy him for is determination to stay healthy. He eats so good and doesn't miss a day of working out. I wish I had the motivation that he does. He even works at a gym and I think he needs to take me there more. I really look up to my brother even though I would never tell him that. It might go to his head:) He is very handsome and has an amazing personality. He teases me a lot but what brother doesn't tease his sisters? He is HILARIOUS and makes me laugh every time I am around him, even when I am mad at him. When people find out he is my brother they don't believe it, we look nothing a like and he was Mr. Popular in high school and I'm kind of a loner at school. I am taller than my brother and it drives him crazy. He has been out of high school for 2 years and people at my school still know who he is and absolutely love him. All of the teachers at my school that had him loved him so I let them know I am his sister in hopes they will give me a good grade and sometimes it really does help! :)  well, earlier this week my Mom came and picked me up after school and when we got home she got a phone call that no mother wants to get. My brother was in an accident. Her face turned pale and my heart stopped. She rushed out of the house and told me to watch my other siblings.  As I sat there waiting for a call to tell me what had happened, so many thoughts ran through my head and my head felt like it was going to burst. I just hugged my baby brother and watched my sisters play, they didn't understand what was going on. My eyes stinged and I had butterflies in my stomach. I sat there for what felt like years and finally my phone went off. He was fine. Thank goodness. I could have lost my brother that day and it made me realize just how important it is to be grateful for every minute you have with the ones you love and to cherish every second and make them count. I thought this quote was appropriate for this post, "Treasure what you have today, for yesterday is past. Appreciate the love of family and friends for the time they are here." I am so grateful for my family and all that they do for me and I have taken advantage of having such a loving family. I am going to spend more time with my family and make more memories with them. Time really is love.

Smile

Have you heard that it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile? Well it's true! When you are out in public do you ever just stop and observe people, I do. Creepy? Kind of. But during my observation I have noticed that so many people are in a rush and don't look very happy. It's gross. People, just be happy and slow down! Life isn't fun when you are constantly in a rush. "Stop and smell the roses" (not literally but ya know what I mean.) , smile, hold the door for strangers, say thank you. You will notice a difference. I have made a goal to smile at strangers and help everyone I can, even with the small things. I mean you never know what they are going through and one kind gesture can really make a difference in their life. I honestly think that if everyone had this goal the world would be a happier place. That's the end of my spill. Point is, just be happy! :)

First Things First

Finally got a blog, it's the closest I will get to keeping a diary! This blog will be interesting because my life is pretty interesting so have fun reading it! I guess first post calls for some get to know me info. Well first things first, my name is Parker and I'm a girl! I get people thinking I am a boy when they just see my name and are shocked when they find out I am a girl. It's cool. I am a junior in high school and it's pretty great! I really, really love photography but I'm not the best at it, I will admit that. I will start posting some of my pictures real soon.
